PRIVACY

Last updated: 17 October 2026

This website is made to listen, play and be still — not to watch you. There is no tracking, no analytics, no advertising and no social media pixels from us. This page explains the little data that is involved and what you can do about it.

Who is responsible

Visiting this website

When you open a page, your browser sends standard technical information to the server that hosts this website (our hosting provider, Websupport, within the EU): your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, and your browser and device type. The hosting provider keeps this in server logs to deliver the site and to keep it secure. These logs are not used to identify you, build profiles or for marketing, and they are only kept as long as needed for those purposes. Legal basis: legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Fonts, images and sounds are all served from this website itself — no requests go to Google Fonts or other third parties just by visiting.

Videos and music players (YouTube & Bandcamp)

Some pages show videos from YouTube and music players from Bandcamp, embedded directly in the page. When such a page opens, your browser connects to these services, which receive your IP address and may set cookies or similar technologies under their own privacy policies. YouTube videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, which limits cookies until you play a video. These services may process data outside the EU.

This website itself sets no cookies and uses no analytics. You can block or delete third-party cookies at any time in your browser settings.

Sanctuary settings

The Sanctuary remembers your own settings (loop warp and trip mode) in your browser's local storage, so they are still there on your next visit. This stays on your device, is never sent to us, and is only used for the features you use. You can clear it here or by clearing your browser data.

Email

If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply and to handle your request (for example a booking). We keep it as long as needed for that, and do not share it with others.

External links

Links to Bandcamp, SoundCloud, YouTube, Instagram and other sites open those websites, which have their own privacy policies.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Just email booking@michalbasar.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
