Michal Basar is a Rotterdam-based electronic artist crafting live sound rituals. Utilizing hardware and tactile audio recordings, his performances are built on storytelling and tempo elasticity, shifting between slow, grounding rhythms and fast hypnotic ones as the moment requires. His sound integrates recorded vocal chants, repetitive drumming, rattles, and the textures of burning wood to induce a beat-guided deep dance. His catalog includes releases on AEDI Records, Affin, Northallsen Records, area127, and Gifkikker, alongside a featured mix on Hypnus Records’ Memoir series. Some of his pre-2020 live performances took place as part of Anacle Live, a trio he previously performed in.
